Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of direct or indirect operating room experience. A minimum of 10 years of progressive and related experience in healthcare. Knowledge and demonstrated application of systems thinking, change management and leadership strategies. Please enter information in this field. Experience working within a health care organization of significant size, complexity and diversity with good knowledge of corporate culture and is able to assess any gaps against key organizational objectives. Equally comfortable working and communicating with physicians (surgeons), nurses, clerical and executives (vice presidents, executive directors, directors), delivering difficult messages and working toward collaborative resolution.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Relationship Management and Change Leadership Liaises with physicians, senior healthcare leaders, clinical and non-clinical support staff, and external stakeholders to develop initiatives aimed to improve the patient journey from time of surgeon consult to completion of the surgery. Considerable skill is required to balance diverse and conflicting stakeholder interests and priorities at the site and zone level and work towards collaborative resolution. Operational Leadership Recognizes need for change across and within provincial initiatives (in partnership with the site and zone surgical management team) and sets priorities accordingly. Working with site and zone surgical leadership, the Lead is responsible for project communication standards, monitoring progress, and developing risk mitigation strategies to keep surgical access-related work moving forward. Research & Reporting Ensures the use of ACATS operational reports are used to assist with decision making when appropriate. Ensures a culture of Quality Improvement is embedded within all site and zone surgical decision-making. Ensures accurate and appropriate ACATS data is used in all reporting. Ensures accurate data entry with MOAs and booking office staff. Prepares project reports and presentations for the site and zone as required and regular status reports as directed by the site/ zone senior surgical leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

Training in and access to Connect Care (EPIC). Training in and access to Meditech. Proficient in use of Microsoft products Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
